What an amazing day! We couldn't come in. We were very busy exploring and hanging out. Harlow and Deb made lunch and we enjoyed our food outside too.

We talked about our dream gardens today and what those would look like. Some friends would have lots of flowers, some lots of things to eat. Then we took gardening magazines and cut out pictures of the things we would grow and taped them to our dirt so we could see each other's gardens. We visited the cranes nesting in the marsh by our house.
We are beginning our garden planting today by preparing our pot for some tomato plants. The children filled it up with some fresh soil and worms!! Check out this proud little guy! He's getting to places he's never been on his own before. Found these guys doing some yoga on their own in the hallway.
When it's raining outside and we really need to climb and slide, we pull out the portable climber. Light table beauty! Marbles on pizza pans!
Making literacy fun! We played alphabet catch. I threw a Velcro letter ball into each of the children's gloves and they took turns identifying what letter it was before throwing it back. Rainy day sandbox play. When we went out it was thindering and raining, when we went in it was sunny and blue skies!

Shannon Davis- Family Child Care provider"Family child care is not babysitting. It's not comparable to any child care center. It's families, in relationships with a professional care provider in an environment that becomes, by design, a second home and a whole bunch of people partnering, trusting, caring and educating each other."
