As we were outside playing today we were slowly starting to put away things we won't be using until next year. I pulled the plug to let the air out of our inflatable pool and walked away. When I looked back to see how it was doing Little Miss Harlow was inside hoping for the best.

Our recipe of the day was for apple sauce! It was full of cinnamon and sweet and tart apples. After it cooked on the stove then cooled off we had to give it a try. Thumbs up from everyone! Sweet Harlow admiring herself in my camera!
Apple patterns sure were fun using red, orange and green mini apples. The children started out a pattern and asked their friends to help them finish it.
When we were done with patters we had a morning snack of fresh orchard apples and apple cider! This morning we really noticed that there are changes happening! The trees are dropping their colored leaves and the air is feeling cooler. The children layed on the ground and listened to the sounds of our day. We saw clouds quickly moving across the sky and heard geese flying together. Wesley is getting stronger!
Yesterday we put some water and little colored sand in our sensory table. This morning when the children arrived the sand had turned in to water beads! They were amazing. The children played with them all morning. Please check them or when you pick up today. I love this picture of Lucy reading one of her favorite books to our baby friends. She asks us to read it so many times each day and now she's got it down! Repetition is so important for their brain development!
Wesley was awake and ready to go today so we got out the infant stroller and off we went. He stayed awake the entire walk kicking with eyes wide open watching the sky.
We also caught a shot of him smiling as he played on the floor. We began our exploration of Mat Man again today. We built him using our lines and curves that we use to make the letters is the alphabet. The blue body helps us remember where to start letters. We also sang about our right hand and how to remember right and left. Harlow was a bit of a speedster while using her walker. She was chasing down Olivia and all the while giggling. Owen rocked Wesley to sleep before school this morning!
Look at our sweet Wesley! He is discovering how very fun those hands can be! After many days of hitting these little nature creatures hanging above, he was able to grab a hold of one and pull this morning. Ayden was a very friendly restaurant owner at the park. I ordered an apple, a banana and some oatmeal and he told me I needed "this many monies!" He held up 5 fingers so I gathered 5 wood chips to pay for my meal.

Shannon Davis- Family Child Care provider"Family child care is not babysitting. It's not comparable to any child care center. It's families, in relationships with a professional care provider in an environment that becomes, by design, a second home and a whole bunch of people partnering, trusting, caring and educating each other."
