What a beautiful way to end a preschool career! We celebrated Harlow today and not only her graduation but her birthday as well. She is such a joy and we are really going to miss her.

We have talked quite a bit about bee hives this summer with all of our buzzing buddies hanging around. So it was time to take one apart and see what keeps the bees so busy. We found lots of little bee apartments inside that the babies grew up in.
Beckett was pretty excited that we found a frog! He wanted to carry it in the bucket While he walked around. We updated pictures on our “Who is here today?” pan at circle time. Harlow is missing because she will be one of the people we send hugs to every day and wish well!
Harlow was so excited to share the grasshopper skin that her mom found! We could see where the grasshopper came out of the skin and also that it had pokey legs. We wondered about what those helped it to do. We decided that drawing a picture might be a good way to remember it. Busy restaurant. A big tent to help keep us cool.
We love new friends! Welcome to Beckett! Today was day two for this buddy and he is rocking this daycare thing. All of the regulars have been so inviting and wanting to share all we do with him. Welcome.
Wow did Wesley work hard on this today. This activity works on positional words (in front of, behind, right, left etc.). Each card shows an arrangement of figures and the children need to arrange their shapes In the same order. Solving problems and puzzles are definitely Wesleys thing.
This was something new for us! We put a pan on a cake decorating turn table and then put paper and paint inside. Then we spun the turn table to see what happened to the paint. The children noticed the paint moved and spread out.

Shannon Davis- Family Child Care provider"Family child care is not babysitting. It's not comparable to any child care center. It's families, in relationships with a professional care provider in an environment that becomes, by design, a second home and a whole bunch of people partnering, trusting, caring and educating each other."
