Oh boy. Well this happened today. While we were checking out the garden and picking some chives, Bucky was walking right along with us slowly sniffing. We didn't think anything of it until we heard squealing. Bucky found a bunny nest in the garden (!) and wanted to play with the babies. Luckily he didn't hurt them but we were very surprised. The children melted. The babies are adorable. We took a look at this sweet baby and had a talk with Bucky about bunnies not being toys. Then we put it back in the nest and covered them (4) up with the huge pile of fur the mama left to keep them warm. We will check on them tomorrow to make sure she comes and feeds them again. We did learn the mamas only come back twice a day and feeds them for only 5 minutes. Her milk is so high in nutrition that that is all it takes.

We were loving our walk today! Dandelions are in full bloom, we found a tractor, and Lily was way too excited for a nap!
Today was a day that was so good for our souls! Nothing helps more during difficult time then baby hugs and kisses. And that saying "absence makes the heart grow fonder?" I am a true believer. The children were champs with all of the changes at school and extra precautions we are taking. We all just want to be done with those "yucky germs!" Today we also had some celebrating. We celebrated Theo's birthday from last week! We also welcomed our newest member Lily to the group. At circle time we threw hugs to our friends that are still missing and wished them well!

Shannon Davis- Family Child Care provider"Family child care is not babysitting. It's not comparable to any child care center. It's families, in relationships with a professional care provider in an environment that becomes, by design, a second home and a whole bunch of people partnering, trusting, caring and educating each other."
