These little blurry heads are those participating in our dance party for Henry! We played his favorite songs to celebrate his last day. He also chose his favorite breakfast and lunch. Puddles!

I loved hearing the teamwork involved in putting together this challenging puzzle of the United States. As they heard this talking puzzle say a familiar state, they would share if they had been there or knew something about each state.
We are down to the final days with this group of eight. We decided to head over to the playground today before the school children come back and we're not allowed to go on the playground anymore. The children were very busy with their imaginary play and just running around together. We are really going to miss Ayden and Henry! Happiest of birthdays to our Harlow! Blue cake with blue frosting?!?! Amazing!!
It was so wonderful to see not only our daycare families but our extended families all together to celebrate some pretty huge milestones in these little humans lives! Thanks to all that made it. It was a night we won't soon forget!
I want to thank everyone for making our village so supportive of each other and letting these children know that not only are they a daycare family, but we are all here for each other to feel loved and supported. We had some guest chefs in the house today. Owen and his friend asked if they could make specific al breakfast for the kids. They surprised them by making their names in pancake batter! Delicious! Wesley coming to get us!
It was an exciting day! We had so much to learn and so much to explore when understanding what an eclipse is. We began with a lesson from Owen demonstrating where the sun, moon and Earth were going to be. Then we talked about shadows and how shadows change shape depending on where the light source is. We read Bears Shadow and saw how his shadow changed depending on the time of day. Lastly, we got to see the eclipse through our special glasses (thanks Michelle and Asli!). What a sight. We had the perfect view. It was a sight to be seen for sure! Henry showed his buddies his school today! It looks like a very cool place to be. He is so super excited!!
Our animals are in tip top shape after visiting the vets this morning! Hearts were checked, ears cleaned, wounds bandaged and shots given.

Shannon Davis- Family Child Care provider"Family child care is not babysitting. It's not comparable to any child care center. It's families, in relationships with a professional care provider in an environment that becomes, by design, a second home and a whole bunch of people partnering, trusting, caring and educating each other."
