It is a beautiful day! The sun came out to see us. We were so joyful and thankful to see it's rays! We compared shapes today using the words big, small, circle, square, rectangle, more, less and counting. Wesley in our mirror triangle. So many reflections to discover and his little sweet face shows how hard he is concentrating.

I love when children are so proud of their accomplishments that they ask me to take a picture to document it. Today it was Olivia and her tangram bird!
We explored our Osmo Letters program again today. I have uploaded an image of each of the children along with their name, hidden behind circles. As each of their pictures comes up, that child finds the letters that spell their name and put them on the board to be scanned. If it is a correct letter, then it is revealed in the circle. This program is teaching the children letters, phonics, counting and orientation of letters. After our rhythm/music experience today the children began exploring what letters they could make using our rhythm sticks. Snow Mountains!!!!!
Everyone was hopping on this train! The tickets were filled out for those traveling to visit Ireland, the North Pole, Mexico and all over the world. Henry would hole punch them, just like on the Polar Express. Ayden was in charge of serving hot cocoa and treats.
Look what this group of cuties made! A-Z on their own! Lots is excitement on our walk! The garbage truck did all of his tricks for us and the snow plow and grabber truck came and collected Christmas trees.
These ladies never tire of playing with our Wesley! He is very loved and cared for. Another melty day of water and ice play. Phonics tic-tac-toe!
This morning we read the book "It's Okay to be Different." It tells us about how people may look different on the outside but have all the same feelings and interests on the inside. Then we drew pictures of people who look different and wrote stories about what they like to do. I'm so thankful for having so many friends at my house when there is ice chipping and shoveling to be done.

Shannon Davis- Family Child Care provider"Family child care is not babysitting. It's not comparable to any child care center. It's families, in relationships with a professional care provider in an environment that becomes, by design, a second home and a whole bunch of people partnering, trusting, caring and educating each other."
