Yesterday we celebrated these three and their graduation from Let the Dragons Fly! The rain and cool temps made the day a little unexpected but we still had a great time with kids, siblings and parents all there to enjoy a meal together. Best wishes Dragonflies!

While on our walk today, one of our friends asked for a rest. We found a shady spot under a tree and I encouraged the children to lay back and watch the leaves blow in the wind, an opportunity we don't often get. They noticed the sun peeking through trying to find us, as well as the clovers that were under us. I encouraged them to count leaves on the clovers and find one with four, which is good luck. There was so much to explore in that one little space that we otherwise would have passed right by. Whenever we find a digger, we need to have our picture taken with it.
These sweet little hands on adding activity was received very well by the kiddos. We put an addition problem on the board. The we gathered the correct number of green ball in the green container, the correct number of blue balls in the blue container and then dumped them into the purple funnel. The balls all lined up in the bottom long cup to help us solve the problem.

Shannon Davis- Family Child Care provider"Family child care is not babysitting. It's not comparable to any child care center. It's families, in relationships with a professional care provider in an environment that becomes, by design, a second home and a whole bunch of people partnering, trusting, caring and educating each other."
