We just can’t seem to get enough challenging puzzles around here! They want smaller and more pieces. Gotta work those garage sales!
Hello everyone! So sorry for being quiet the end of last week. We had children gone spending time with family so since Mom was able to be with the children on her own, I was able to work on the yard and try to get us some grass growing! Also attended a baseball game that my son was playing in. Those things never happen during the day! So grass is growing and baseball is over and here we are. Chickens are growing! Also thanks to Piper and Harlow's Nana and Poppy for coming in and teaching us about New Zealand today! We learned that they are almost always a day ahead of us. They also don't have squirrels or snakes there! For Christmas they go to the beach?!!? Wow we all live in such amazing places!
Such an exciting day! Our chicken eggs have been in the incubator for 21 days now so today is the day! Four chicks have hatched for the kiddos today already!
The children each have a blank book that they use as a journal. Sometimes I give them an idea to journal about, sometimes they come up with their own. Today we read "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom" while using our coconut tree to add letters. One friend suggested we journal about the book! Great idea! Here they are working hard at creating their own stories about this special tree.
A little music time using our rhythm sticks! Story time using our storytelling rock. Whoever is holding the rock is telling the next part of the story. Babies and ramps. Simple machine discovery at early ages.
Our buddy turns 2 today! Happy Birthday to our funny, chatty, busy friend Luke! Due to some unfortunate circumstances, my foster pups, who I foster with a friend, were moved from my friends house to mine this weekend! The children were thrilled! They were able to get some puppy snuggles and love the job of checking on the puppies with me!

Shannon Davis- Family Child Care provider"Family child care is not babysitting. It's not comparable to any child care center. It's families, in relationships with a professional care provider in an environment that becomes, by design, a second home and a whole bunch of people partnering, trusting, caring and educating each other."
