The children have been asking for a daily hiding of eggs so they can search and find them. This is always followed by them asking if they can hide the eggs for Deb and me to find. Only we don't get to find very many with their "help!"

We had a great time with this egg carton game this morning. Each kiddo got a colored egg that they put into the carton. They shut the carton, shook it and then opened it to see where their egg landed. This helped us to work on letter identification as well as the sounds of letters. It made it exciting to open up and see what letter we would be working with.
Today was our first day traveling to Epic since last Fall. It was perfect! Great weather, great exploring and a lot of
trunks honking for us! Lucy found a thin, very clear piece of ice. It was like looking through the glass of a window. We noticed little air bubbles that had frozen in it but we could still see through. Lucy tasted that it was cold and it melted in her mouth. What a cool thing nature created for us!
An annual activity that goes along with our egg discussions. We love this game. Beware parents! They are asking for races with you tonight!
Here is our student teacher Hayley stepping in to lead our math activity today. They were measuring our plant to see how it's growing. Wesley is working hard to move around. With a little help from Deb's leg to push against, he was rocking on all fours!
It's so interesting to me how children view their outside experiences. Some embrace it and some stand it. It was a beaufirul sunny day!

Shannon Davis- Family Child Care provider"Family child care is not babysitting. It's not comparable to any child care center. It's families, in relationships with a professional care provider in an environment that becomes, by design, a second home and a whole bunch of people partnering, trusting, caring and educating each other."
