This sweet baby is so well taken care of! Harlow feeds it all day long and loves when Deb cuddles it in a blanket. Special treat today from Deb was blue moon ice cream! We had it once before and I think Henry has asked for it again every day since! Look at those blue tongues!
What a fun way to learn letters and their sounds!! I brought out a mystery bag filled with letters. The children took turns reaching in and pulling out a letter. After identifying it and the sound it makes, they stuck it on the board and wrote it. It was so beautiful by the end! Jingle Baby!!
During our parents night out the children enjoyed watching the movie The Polar Express. I told the children today that I have the train from the movie. That's all they needed to hear! They helped me get out all of the tracks and got busy making their Polar Express track.
We had a fantastic time on Friday during Parents Night Out! The parents got to enjoy some very precious time for themselves and the children got to party! We played games, worked on some art, read books, sang songs and danced, ate pizza, and watched a movie. We were excited that Doga and Nora could join us too. There are already requests from the children to do it again!
Our explorations of different holidays this season includes learning about Hanukkah. Today we learned the dreidel game that Jewish children play during Hanukkah. We played the game today using dreidels and chocolate coins. The children really enjoyed this.
This morning as I was emptying out the dishwasher Lucy told me that she wanted to put the silverware away. She did every last piece!

Shannon Davis- Family Child Care provider"Family child care is not babysitting. It's not comparable to any child care center. It's families, in relationships with a professional care provider in an environment that becomes, by design, a second home and a whole bunch of people partnering, trusting, caring and educating each other."
