What a fun game! The children pick a card with a picture that they need to act out so the others can guess what they are. We had a blast!

This morning we read a book called Bubble Trouble. It was about enormous bubbles! We tried to make our own enormous bubbles by blowing through straws into the bubble mix. We were blowing hard, soft, fast, slow. We would blow one big bubble and lots of little bubbles. Our favorite was the blue green sparkle that reflected off of the bubble surface. ![]() We acquired some fantastic new Montessori materials to explore. First we used our hands to feel how smooth the materials were. Then the children noticed that some were quite heavy while others we could hardly feel at all. They asked how we could measure which were heaviest so we got out a scale. This led to them trying to add a few pieces in one side and trying to add enough on the other side to make them equal. They used lots of very descriptive language while engaging with each other about what they were noticing. "Do you think this is where the bees made their honey?" ![]() Cookie and pasta making.
The children had a really great questions about how a person who is blind can read. We requested some books from the library that were written with braille. While I read the words, they felt the little dots that made up each word.

Shannon Davis- Family Child Care provider"Family child care is not babysitting. It's not comparable to any child care center. It's families, in relationships with a professional care provider in an environment that becomes, by design, a second home and a whole bunch of people partnering, trusting, caring and educating each other."
