The children suggested making an obstacle course today since it was raining during our outside time. We worked out hard! Little L got her first experience in our sensory swing. The other children loved bouncing her swing since it made her giggle.
Just yesterday we were talking on our walk about how we haven't seen many worms this summer because of how dry the weather has been. When we were out swinging, we noticed a few worms that were out enjoying the rain. Lily wanted to feel them squirm and create a safe space for them.
This crew is very interested in the changing season. Our walks are filled with leaf collection of all colors. Today they made their own trees with colorful leaves.
This is what they children call themselves! Today they were covered in red juice as they consumed the crop from our bowl as quickly as they could.
It was a rainy morning so we decided to exercise our bodies by doing yoga. Also some pumpkin jumping!
"Look Shannon! We are holding hands!" We were all pretty impressed with the size of this tractor tire!

Shannon Davis- Family Child Care provider"Family child care is not babysitting. It's not comparable to any child care center. It's families, in relationships with a professional care provider in an environment that becomes, by design, a second home and a whole bunch of people partnering, trusting, caring and educating each other."
