Oh my goodness did we have fun with these balloons today! We took turns chasing the balloon as it zoomed around screaming. You won't believe it but one is still stuck up on our roof!! Letter "G" today! The children were discussing who cuts their grass at home.

These photos are actually from last week when we were outside. The friends discovered this little guy up in the climber! He was a high jumper! We helped him down, checked him out for a bit them helped him into our garden to help eat the bugs that land on our plants.
Circe time was pretty crazy today! We took turns adding objects to our O and Q tubs. There was a pile of objects on the floor that began with with the O sound or the Q sound and the children determined which one it was and put it in the correct tub. We watched a short story of Going on a Bear Hunt that kept Piper on the edge of her seat. Her silly sister however was not scared.
It's so amazing to me how children who don't love certain foods can nsmake de will gobble them up outside. Today I brought a cucumber snack outside with us and the children couldn't get enough! Even those that don't love cucumbers were convinced they were the best ever because the others were raving about them. Outdoor Memory game!!
Did you know that we practice tornado and fire drills together? We have to know what t do to keep ourselves safe. We did our first tornado drill today. Some friends looked a bit scared but we talked about how important it is to know how to keep our bodies safe. It ends up being kind of fun to go to the storage room.
The children will be asking what to do for a tornado and fire at home as well so it's a good idea time to come up with a plan for the family and to prepare the basement for severe weather. |
Shannon Davis- Family Child Care provider"Family child care is not babysitting. It's not comparable to any child care center. It's families, in relationships with a professional care provider in an environment that becomes, by design, a second home and a whole bunch of people partnering, trusting, caring and educating each other."
