I love when children have questions about the natural world that we live in. Today we were journaling about a book we read called A House for Hermit Crab. He asks other animals to help him decorate his plain shell. So we drew pictures of crabs with fancy shells. Harlow looked at me and asked “how many legs does a crab have?” Instead of answering, we got out our hermit crab and had him walk around the table for us to discover how many legs he has.

Shannon Davis- Family Child Care provider"Family child care is not babysitting. It's not comparable to any child care center. It's families, in relationships with a professional care provider in an environment that becomes, by design, a second home and a whole bunch of people partnering, trusting, caring and educating each other."
