This is such a simple activity that works so many different senses. It’s a clear piece of contact paper taped to the table sticky side up. The children were sticking some sparkly sequins to it. They first felt what it was like to touch it. Then carefully picked up different pieces to push on. They noticed it was difficult to try and take them off. This continued on for quite some time. You can also do this with things that they find outside. Leaves, flowers, small stones, sticks, sand, etc.

A few weeks ago we said good bye to our oldest friends. This made way for Luke and Theo to come back. They did great today! The older boys really helped Theo and showed him the ways.
Even the littlest stream of water from the hose can keep these guys busy for hours! They had lots of watering to do and took the job very seriously.

Shannon Davis- Family Child Care provider"Family child care is not babysitting. It's not comparable to any child care center. It's families, in relationships with a professional care provider in an environment that becomes, by design, a second home and a whole bunch of people partnering, trusting, caring and educating each other."
