Wesley checking out Gabriella’s walking skills. The tumbling mat became a bed for the girls. Owen’s math lesson. Story problems. Wesley tumbling. Scales.
Look who climbed in the toy box today. Oh my! Lunchtime today. Construction planning. Wesley found this picture in our art shelf and brought it to the table to color like the big kids do. He sat for close to 1/2 hour and made his marks.
Today the girls and I visited where Olivia will go to school. It was awesome! The principal, Mrs. Taylor, gave us a tour of all of the rooms Olivia will go in. And of course we visited the playground!
Ellie was wanting to play with the older girls so much so they danced around her! She seemed to think that was pretty ok!
The girls and I loaded up to go check out Piper’s new school! Unfortunately we weren’t able to get inside today, but the playground was awesome! Bucky cuddles.
Luke was happy to see our Ellie Bellie this morning! Matching beginning sounds to their letters. Bug Bingo. Watching the floor shampooer clean up a spot!
This summer we have been learning about adding and subtracting. We know that adding makes more and subtracting makes less. The children have also been wondering about money. They have stores where they bring items to “buy”, and then count out the money needed to get the items. Today we tried a new game where the children used money to buy items for their shopping carts. It was a fantastic way to budget and discover that once your money is spent, then you can’t buy anything else until you get paid!!

Shannon Davis- Family Child Care provider"Family child care is not babysitting. It's not comparable to any child care center. It's families, in relationships with a professional care provider in an environment that becomes, by design, a second home and a whole bunch of people partnering, trusting, caring and educating each other."
