We had half of our group today due to illness so we moved at a bit of a slower pace. We snuggled in and read lots of our Dr. Suess books that we didn't get to last week but were wanting to check out. Little Asher sat for the longest time snuggled up with our blanket listening to stories. Every once in a while he would let out a little giggle, but mostly just listened. Then he dozed off for a bit before lunch.
The children wanted to check on a few of the rocks we passed out yesterday. They noticed that the snow is disappearing! The iceberg in the circle is getting smaller. Quick little literacy practice at circle time. Grab a secret letter from our feeler box and then write it on the board.

Shannon Davis- Family Child Care provider"Family child care is not babysitting. It's not comparable to any child care center. It's families, in relationships with a professional care provider in an environment that becomes, by design, a second home and a whole bunch of people partnering, trusting, caring and educating each other."
