We used Valentine’s conversation hearts to sort and graph. The younger children sorted by color, the older children sorted by color and graphed their results, determining which they had the most of and which the least. We painted out snow! Be on the lookout for rainbow snow.

The ice storm we are having meant no school for my family. It was fun to have Owen join us in experimenting with our blower. He had some really great ideas about making balls suspend in the air. We even tried to make a rubber duck float and that made us giggle. Ty is really loving pouring his own milk at meals. It’s a new skill he has been working on and because he loves doing it so much, he drinks a lot of milk! Ellie putting on her make-up.
So this was fun! We added a little shop vac, switched to blowing out instead of vacuuming. It was very cool to see what the children experimented with in learning about the force air can be. I initially showed how the air could blow the balls back up the loft tube. They took it from there! Dancing with Ellie! Thanks for the new toothbrushes! We use them after lunch before nap.
It’s been a long time since we have all been able to outside due to temperatures, ice, or snow! Today was fabulous! And there were still plenty of snow mountains to climb.

Shannon Davis- Family Child Care provider"Family child care is not babysitting. It's not comparable to any child care center. It's families, in relationships with a professional care provider in an environment that becomes, by design, a second home and a whole bunch of people partnering, trusting, caring and educating each other."
