We have amazing helpers over here! Our littlest friends are so lucky to have leaders to show them the way! Laurel has been introduced to sledding and was getting pulled and pushed up the hill. Layla wants in on all the stuff big kids do!

We are beginning to learn about Antarctica and the creatures that choose it as their home. Today we started learning about penguins. We discovered several types of penguins and how they differ. The Macaroni Penguin was so silly. Of all the facts we learned, there was one that the children repeated to each other over and over, and that is that the adult penguins eat fish and then spit it back out to feed their babies. Ewww. So thankful that's not how our children get fed.
The hugs we shared today were awesome! The children that returned today were so excited to see each other. Holiday time is so special, but it's hard to be away from our daycare family for such a long time. And now it's feeling more like winter, complete with some icy snow to sled on!

Shannon Davis- Family Child Care provider"Family child care is not babysitting. It's not comparable to any child care center. It's families, in relationships with a professional care provider in an environment that becomes, by design, a second home and a whole bunch of people partnering, trusting, caring and educating each other."
